Glucosamine is an aminosugar naturally found in the human body in bones, cartilage
and tissue. Glucosamin is found in our daily food, although in minor quantities.
Recent reseach has indicated that some people will benefit from the use Glucosamine
as a food supplement to help retain and rebuild the body ressources of Glucosamine.
Glucosamine is normally sold in two variants: Sulphate and HydroChloride (HCL).
As all sicentific studies to date have concentrated on the Sulphate version,
we have chosen to only sell this version. It is known that between 90-98% of
Glucosamine Sulphate is being taken up in the body, whereas there is no knowledge
of the corresponding percentage for Glucosamine HCl.
The source of Glucosamine:
Glucosamine sources are normally shellfish (Crab, lobster and shrimp shells)
or bovine. Our Glucosamine is derived 100% from Shellfish.
Quality:
Our Glucosamin is derived from Shellfish and is classified as Food Grade. This
guarantees a product in the highest concentration available, and furthermore
complieance with the low limit values for heavy metals. Our current raw material
batch used for our Glucosamin tablets is certified as 98% pure Glucosamine Sulphate.
